The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern is a captivating and enchanting story I found myself lost in.
Set in a magical circus, the story follows the journey of two young magicians, Celia and Marco, who are forced to compete against each other in a deadly competition.
As the story progresses, a romance develops between the two characters, which adds an extra layer of emotion to the story. The tension between them is written so well, but I donāt like how hot and cold it was.
Iām glad they ended up together, but Iām confused about how they even exist within the circus. I wish there were more details rather than the shaky explanations we were given.
The circus itself is a character in the story, with its black-and-white striped tents, illusions, and magical acts. The descriptions of the circus and the magical acts were mesmerizing.
However, I found the jumping point of view a bit disorienting, making it difficult for me to connect with the characters fully. Some of the POV jumps didnāt really add to the plot, in my opinion.
Additionally, the magic system is not fully explained, and it was not clear to me how the characters were able to perform some of the magical feats.
Despite these issues, The Night Circus is a fascinating and captivating story that transported me to a magical world where anything is possible if you believe in it enough.
My favorite area in the circus was probably the wishing tree or the ice room.
