Rating: ✨4.5/5✨ Spice: 😘 (mostly kisses) Genre: YA Fantasy Plot: 4.5/5 (mystery with who done it vibes) Tropes: enemies to lovers, slow burn, forced proximity The story through emojis: 📚🦟✨🤺🧟‍♀️👹🥰🏡

I recently read Sorcery of Thorns, and I was thoroughly impressed. As a fan of fantasy and romance, this book exceeded my expectations. The world-building was rich and immersive, drawing me into the story from the very first page. It is a fantastic blend of adventure, magic, and romance. The main characters, Elisabeth and Nathaniel, had a chemistry that was simply electric. Their relationship was tested by the dangers they faced, but it only strengthened their love for each other. I love how Nathaniel called Elisabeth a menace as a pet name 🥰 The magic system was unique and fascinating, adding to the overall enjoyment of the book. The world is ruled by grimoires, books of magic that hold dangerous power and are guarded by sorcerers. The magic in this world is tied to the written words in these grimoires, and sorcerers must be able to read and understand them to wield their power. While having a pet demon on the side, like Silas. I love that he turns into a cat. One of my favorite scenes is when Elisabeth picks him up. 😂 Margaret's writing style was engaging and kept me hooked until the very end. The depiction of the grimoires was probably my favorite thing I've read about in a long time. I love that they had personalities. If you're looking for a thrilling and magical read with a touching romance, Sorcery of Thorns is a must-read, in my opinion. P.S. What a cruel ending. 😭
