‼️Spoilers below this point‼️
I read this book in one day but left feeling…kinda disappointed. Maybe it’s because I guessed the ending and it reminded me of The Love Hypothesis too much. It’s not that I didn’t like it, but it’s a very similar read to her first book…which makes sense. I just wanted a bit more character and plot variety.
When picking up these types of books, it’s a given that the main characters will end up with a HEA, but this was just so obvious that nothing was going to break them up. Even when they did break up it seemed forced just to move the plot along.
I did appreciate the science, love me some STEM. I also appreciated the sexu*al tension. It did make things feel hotter when they finally got together.
The spice is nothing to write home about. Think Love Hypothesis, but with different characters. Still enjoyable but pretty meat and potatoes.
I love the cats in this book. That's all.
I will say the side characters got redundant and Bee's internal commentary on them was the exact same for every character. They were rude and she loved them.
I do recommend it if this is your genre. It follows the genre patterns perfectly.
