Hey, y'all! I wanted to talk to you about a fantastic series that doesn't seem to get enough attention - The Kinder Poison by Natalie Mae. This trilogy has everything you could want in a YA fantasy series: high stakes, political intrigue, complex characters, and a richly imagined world. Not to mention a morally grey love interest.
The story follows Zahru, a young girl from a small village who gets pulled into a deadly competition to become the kingdom's next ruler. But as Zahru discovers the secrets and agendas of her competitors, she realizes that winning the competition may come at a terrible cost. Zahru is so fun because her character gets darker and more morally grey as the series progresses.
I was completely engrossed in this series from start to finish, and I'm shocked that it's not more well-known. If you're a fan of Sarah J. Maas, Holly Black, or Leigh Bardugo, you must check out The Kinder Poison series. The whole series is fully released. 😉
